Black Bear joins the staff on a Retreat

Black Bear joined his family and the teachers from GSIS on a retreat to the Kolon Hotel. He was initially a bit concernced about what might go on at this motel, but he can safely report that he returned with his colon safely in tact.

Black bear and some of the staff kids at the folk village.
Trust you to find the one and only brewery at the folk village.

Black bear what are you doing on that policeman's motorbike? Have you been arrested for drunk and disorderly or are you taking the bike for a joy ride? I think you should stay away from the brewery next time.
Blackbear enjoyed an ice cream at the museum. This ice cream came in the cup and then it was twirled in a machine to make it like a Mr. Whippy ice cream.

What are you doing in the mouths of those totem poles Black Bear?

That's quite some pressure there Blackbear. We are all very impressed. But next time can you please use the facilities provided.

Black Bear at the Korean Folk Village

The Korean Folk Village. One of the buildings on display. The folk village is an interesting place to visit, with a lot of traditional Korean buildings, dancing, food and displays. There is a also some rides for the children to have a go at.
This man was doing some high rope walking.
This is a see saw. The ladies jump on the end of the see saw which pushes her partner in the air. The person is pushed high into the air. I would estimate that they are going about 5 or 6 metres in the air. Whilst in the air they do some tricks before landing on the see saw and pushing the other person into the air to do some tricks. It was very good.
Abbey and Black Bear had a go on the see saws.
Abbey, Black Bear and Jack are standing in front of some Kim Chi pots. Kim Chi is a traditional Korean food which appears to be served at all meals. It is cabbage with a spicey red sauce. It can be eaten by itself, but quite often it is mixed with other parts of the meal.
Black Bear, Abbey and Jack met one of the villagers at the Folk Village.
You be careful Black Bear crossing the river on those rocks at the Folk Village.

The Korean Folk Village Dancers. They are very talented. The dancers are hitting those drums, while twirling those streamers on their heads and then they are doing a jump in the air. It was an amazing display.

A cow tied up to the big wheel. It walks around the circle which moves the giant wheel and crushes the corn to make corn flour. Black Bear felt a little sorry for her sitting there all day.

Black Bear flies to Korea

Black Bear patiently waiting in line at Brisbane International Airport. Unfortunately his family had lost it by this stage.
Black Bear got into the duty free shopping while on the flight. There are also rumours about Black Bear joining Ray Fiennes in the mile high club. What do you have to say for yourself Black Bear?
Black Bear hiding in the bushes in the Seoul Foreign Airport. However, Abbey and Jack were able to find him.

Black Bear has a barrel of a time in Snowtown

Black Bear had the privilege of visiting Snowtown recently. Snowtown is infamous for having a number of people who were discovered deceased in barrels in an old bank vault.

Black Bear went to the salt lakes just outside of Snowtown. No that is not one of the barrels that Black Bear is sitting on. Where were you Black bear on the nights in question?
