Black Bear visits Shanghai

Darrin and Cathi joined Black Bear at the Technology conference in Shanghai.

Black Bear went to a Shanghai bar to watch the AFL preliminary between Geelong and Footscary. Dave and Frank joined us to cheer on the Cats.

Black Bear made a new friend at the conference. Sam the Kiwi was an assistant at one of the sessions.

BlackBear went to The Bund. There were lots of bright lights. On one side of the river, there were lots of restaurants, shopping areas and nice places to walk. On the other side of the river it was a little more shady.

To get from one side of the tunnel, you go under the river in the bund tunnel. Black Bear was amazed by the bright lights and the special effects.

There were quite a number hawkers on the street. They were very forceful and would quite often hold your hand so that you couldn't get away. For some reason they didn't seem to want to deal with Black Bear.

On the way home from the conference, we noticed these Chinese military marching down the road. What have you done Black Bear to have the Chinese military marching after you.

Out on the streets of Shanghai were these mobile restaurants. A BBQ was attached to this three wheel bike. We weren't game to try to the local quisine because of the way it was stored in the open.

The Paparazzi Follow Black Bear

On a recent trip to the Itaewon markets the paparazzi were relentless in their chase to catch a photo of Black Bear. Black Bear was looking at these masked people who were gearing up for the mask festival when a large number of newspaper photographers took photos of him and his family. Apparently the photos might be used in the newspapers to advertise the festival.

When Black Bear turned his camera on the paparazzi, a number of them fled. Apparently they don't like having their photo taken.
While at lunch the papparazzi burst into the restaurant and photographed him enjoying some of the local product. Black Bear denies rumours that later on that afternoon he was seen dancing topless on the table. Unfortunately the photos are far too graphic to put on this G rated website.

Black Bear Gets his Nails Done

Black Bear joined Abbey, Kylie and some of the girls from GSIS on the weekend to get a manicure and a pedicure.
